ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a PCB Designer for a dimensional metrology research and development team, which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in PCB layout, design, and prototyping looking to further their career in electronics engineering.

• Provide PCB board generation services from layout to fabrication and assembly, including vendor management
• Develop schematics and electronics designs to support team member needs
• Assist in design, fabrication, assembly, and testing of developmental prototypes
• Conduct troubleshooting and experimental testing on circuits and systems
• Drive process improvements and participate in design reviews

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
• 2+ years of professional PCB layout design experience with exposure to complex circuitry and Design For Manufacturing (DFM)
• Proficiency with PCB layout software such as Altium and knowledge of schematic capture and basic analog/digital electronics
• Associate degree or BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
• CID (Certified Interconnect Designer) certifications
• Hand soldering and rework capabilities with small components (DFNs, 0402 metric)
• Programming experience with Python or LabVIEW
• Knowledge of IC layout, mechanical CAD, test equipment, or revision control systems
• Japanese language and business culture knowledge
