Tech Lead – Scala / Cloud Engineering

Our client is seeking a hands-on Tech Lead to lead a team of engineers focused on building and supporting highly scalable, real-time applications. This individual will play a key role in technical leadership, team mentorship, software delivery, and overall engineering excellence within an Agile/Scrum environment.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in Scala development, distributed systems, cloud-native technologies, and team leadership while remaining actively involved in architecture and hands-on coding efforts.

Skill Targets:
Scala and functional programming frameworks such as ZIO or Cats Effect
API development for high-throughput applications
AWS and cloud-native architectures
Kafka or other near real-time messaging platforms
Distributed and transactional systems
Relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and Redis
Kubernetes and CI/CD tooling
Monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk and New Relic
