If you’re excited about building impactful technology in a dynamic, hands-on environment, we’d love to hear from you!

About The Role

We are seeking a Systems Algorithm Engineer to lead the development of Lyte’s advanced perception systems and signal-processing algorithm pipeline. This hands-on, autonomous role requires proven experience developing, verifying, integrating, and shipping hardware-oriented algorithms. Candidates should be able to prototype algorithms efficiently for FPGA and GPU platforms and transition them to silicon-optimized production implementations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams throughout all phases of autonomous systems and robotics product development. You will move between sensor algorithm development, integration, and test. This role sits at the intersection of hardware, algorithms and software, with a strong focus on modern DSP and performance evaluation.

What You'll Do

Research, develop, and test advanced signal processing algorithms for sensing applications using Python, MATLAB and C++.
Build a digital twin of our sensing platform and use it to analyze algorithm performance and system architecture decisions.
Define and maintain algorithmic specifications and present system performance metrics to cross-functional stakeholders.
Design and proof-of-concept new algorithms on prototyping platforms such as GPU.
Work with embedded hardware to analyze algorithm performance in real-world conditions.
Bring-up new chipsets containing revisions to the core sensing algorithms.
Build and deploy automation for testing, evaluation, and day-to-day workflows.
Collaborate with fast-paced global hardware and software teams.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in algorithm development, signal processing, and hardware-integrated systems engineering
Strong software engineering architecture and development skills in C, C++, and Python
A working knowledge of probability, statistics and quantitative mathematics
Ability to collaborate effectively with hardware, software and systems teams across distributed time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with sensor modeling for simulation and/or hardware-in-loop environments
Hands-on experience with pytorch and/or CUDA
Strong background in statistical signal processing for wireless communications, RADAR/LiDAR, or equivalent domains.
Familiarity with analog/front-end electronics and noise modelling.
Domain knowledge in advanced perception, coherent imaging, LiDAR, or optical physics
Demonstrated ability to rapidly build helpful automation tools to accelerate engineering velocity in production environments.
A strong track record of picking up new skills, tools, and technical domains quickly

Benefits (subject to location and local regulations)

Competitive salary and equity
Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
401(k) retirement plan
Flexible vacation and time-off policy
Collaborative, fast-paced, and inclusive work environment
Opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies with a highly cross-functional team
