Job Profile
Lead schematic design, prototype development, hardware validation, debugging, and production support activities.
Required to work on development of Embedded hardware, controller design. Should have hands-on experience in embedded hardware design and development. Strong understanding of Digital Electronics, Microcontrollers, Processors, FPGA interfaces, and communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, RS422/485, SSI, CAN, Ethernet).
Responsibilities
Embedded Hardware Design using FPGA / Microcontroller.
High-speed ADC/DAC interface, Ethernet, DDR memory interface design
Design and development of Mixed signal circuit boards
Schematic design, Review of the component placement and layout
Design and development of hardware for various interfaces & communication protocols (Ethernet, Serial, CAN, VME, VPX etc.)
Subsystem integration & Testing
Hands-on experience on using Test Equipment (DSO, AFG, Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyser)
Review PCB layouts for signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, isolation, and manufacturability.
Select electronic components and perform design calculations, derating, and optimization.
Develop, assemble, and validate prototype PCBs.
Coordinate with PCB designers and fabrication/assembly vendors for successful implementation.
Perform hardware bring-up, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Generate engineering documentation including BOMs, design reports, test procedures, and manufacturing packages.
Experience & Skills Required
8+ years of experience in hardware design and development involving FPGA/Microcontroller and mixed signal hardware
Hands-on experience in PCB development tools such as Cadence – Capture, Allegro, Mentor graphics tools
Experience in multilayer PCB development
Good understanding of EMI/EMC design requirements and mitigation techniques as per MIL-STD-461.
Strong debugging skills using Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, and other lab instruments.
