Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Sr. ASIC Verification Engineer for a top semiconductor client. This candidate will join a highly specialized ASIC Reference Model team responsible for developing high-level functional models used to verify advanced ASIC and SoC products. The ideal engineer will leverage strong SystemC, C++, SystemVerilog, and UVM expertise to model expected system behavior, support complex verification initiatives, and collaborate closely with architecture and RTL design teams. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior technical contributor who enjoys solving challenging system-level problems, driving complex debug efforts, and influencing global verification strategies for cutting-edge semiconductor technologies.

Day-to-Day:
Develop high-level functional reference models to verify complex ASIC and SoC designs
Create and maintain SystemC/C++ models representing expected system behavior
Build and enhance verification environments using SystemVerilog and UVM
Partner with architects and RTL designers to understand design intent and functionality
Debug complex functional issues across system and block-level environments
Drive root cause analysis and resolution of verification failures
Lead and influence global verification initiatives and best practices
Validate architectural features and ensure design correctness throughout development

Must-Haves:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
8+ years of ASIC/SoC verification experience in semiconductor product development
Strong object-oriented programming experience with SystemC and/or C++
Strong experience developing verification environments using SystemVerilog and UVM
Deep understanding of digital architecture and system-level design concepts
Experience developing high-level reference models for ASIC/SoC verification
Strong debugging and functional verification expertise
Plusses:
Advanced degree in a related technical field
Experience leading global verification efforts
Experience collaborating closely with architects and RTL design teams
Semiconductor test and automation industry experience
Strong technical leadership and mentoring capabilities

Direct Placement Roles:

Compensation:
$154,000 to $307,000 per year annual salary. [If client has provided an exact salary, then no need to use a range; also, if the client has provided an hourly rate, then use same hourly language from the Contract/Contract-to-Hire section above.]
