Senior Software Engineer (EDA)

Full Time Permanent Contract
Salary: $180,000 to $240,000 (DOE)

A global technology leader in Electronic Design Automation is at the forefront of semiconductor design, building software tools that enable companies worldwide to develop highly innovative electronic products faster and more cost effectively. Their chip verification software is trusted by the world's leading semiconductor teams to push the boundaries of technology across chip, board, and system design.
They are looking to grow their physical verification R&D team with a Senior Software Engineer who will own critical components of their chip verification and physical sign-off tooling, with their work directly shaping the performance, accuracy, and scalability of software used in production semiconductor design flows globally.
Key Responsibilities:
Designing and implementing features for physical sign-off and chip verification tools with a focus on accuracy, performance, and usability.
Optimising code for parallel execution on HPC platforms, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
Implementing multi-threaded algorithms to improve processing speed and resource utilisation.
Conducting performance analysis and debugging to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements and specifications for new features.
Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Contributing to the long-term architecture and quality of a production-grade EDA software platform.
Ideal Profile:
Strong experience in software development with a strong C++ background.
Extensive experience in EDA, particularly in physical verification.
Deep understanding of physical sign-off principles and methodologies.
Background in HPC programming and multi-threaded parallel computing.
Knowledge of graph algorithms and their applications in EDA.
Proficiency in Linux based development environments.
