Overview
We’re seeking a Senior Product Engineer to lead the hands-on design and development of metal-based surgical implants and instruments. This is a high-impact role for a self-sufficient, technically strong engineer who thrives on owning projects end-to-end—from concept through testing and commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
Lead full lifecycle development of metal implants and surgical instruments
Perform hands-on CAD design (CREO/SolidWorks) with full ownership (no dedicated designers)
Apply design for manufacturing (DFM) principles, especially for machined metal components
Develop and execute design verification & validation, including ISO-based testing
Build and evaluate prototypes with internal teams and external vendors
Drive project timelines, documentation, and deliverables independently
Partner cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and commercial teams
Gather feedback from surgeons and support product launches as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
7+ years of mechanical/product design experience
Direct experience with metal implant design (spine, ortho, or similar strongly preferred)
Advanced proficiency in CREO or SolidWorks
Experience with testing, validation, and full product lifecycle ownership
What We’re Looking For
True “plug-and-play” engineer who can hit the ground running
Highly self-motivated, hands-on, and independent
Strong technical depth with a builder / “gearhead” mindset
Comfortable owning everything from CAD → testing → launch
