Senior Performance Modeling Engineer
Join a VC-backed stealth startup building next-generation AI inference systems for data centre-scale workloads. You'll help develop the simulation and modelling infrastructure that drives architectural decisions for a highly differentiated AI accelerator, working alongside experts in hardware, systems and compiler engineering.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced engineer to build and evolve processor simulators and architectural models that guide the design of cutting-edge AI hardware. This is a hands-on role with significant ownership and close collaboration across architecture, hardware and software teams.
What You'll Do
Develop and maintain processor simulators and performance models
Model pipelines, memory systems, interconnects and AI accelerators
Generate workloads and analyse simulation results to drive architectural improvements
Build and maintain critical simulation infrastructure
Work closely with architecture, hardware and compiler engineers to shape future products
What You'll Bring
Software engineering experience in computer architecture, semiconductors, systems or EDA
Strong C++ and Python development skills
Experience developing processor simulators or architectural performance models
Solid understanding of modern computer architecture and microarchitecture
Comfortable taking ownership in a fast-moving startup environment
Nice to Have
Experience with AI accelerators, GPUs or heterogeneous computing
