MaxQ Medical is developing a next-generation ultrasound system that combines advanced electronics, signal processing, and system-level design to deliver a transformative imaging and therapy solution for prostate care.

Our team operates at the intersection of hardware and software, building systems that enable precise treatments with better patient outcomes.

The Role
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and develop electronic subsystems that power our ultrasound platform. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to bring complex systems from concept through validation and production..

What You’ll Do
Own PCB design end-to-end, including schematic capture, layout, and bring-up
Design and develop high-performance electronic subsystems for ultrasound applications
Collaborate on system architecture, integrating analog, digital, and signal processing components
Debug and validate hardware using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.)
Develop and automate test and validation workflows using tools such as Python or MATLAB
Partner closely with cross-functional teams (software, systems, mechanical) to ensure seamless system integration
Document designs, test results, and performance validation

What We’re Looking For

Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience in hardware / electrical engineering
Strong PCB design experience (core requirement), including schematic capture and layout
Experience debugging and validating hardware in a lab environment
Familiarity with common lab equipment (oscilloscopes, waveform generators, etc.)
Working knowledge of scripting or programming (Python, MATLAB, or similar)

Preferred:
Experience with Altium Designer (or similar PCB design tools)
Experience with high-frequency, low-noise, or mixed-signal electronics
Exposure to ultrasound, medical imaging, or similar complex systems (e.g., RF, radar, sensing systems)
Experience working in dynamic R&D environments, with the ability to navigate evolving priorities while maintaining focus on complex, long-cycle engineering work

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $150,000 – $180,000
Eligible for participation in an annual bonus plan and stock-based compensation, subject to company performance and board of directors approval
Comprehensive health benefits
Opportunity to work on cutting-edge medical technology
