Senior Electrical Engineer – Ultrasound Systems

We are partnering with an innovative medical technology company developing a next-generation ultrasound system that combines advanced electronics, signal processing, and system-level engineering to deliver a transformative imaging and therapy solution for prostate care.

The team operates at the intersection of hardware and software, building complex systems designed to enable more precise treatments and improve patient outcomes.

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and develop the electronic subsystems that power a next-generation ultrasound platform.
This is a hands-on engineering role with significant ownership across PCB design, hardware development, system integration, debugging, and validation. You will work closely with software, systems, and mechanical engineering teams to take complex electronic systems from initial concept through validation and production.

What You’ll Do
Own PCB design end-to-end, including schematic capture, layout, bring-up, and debugging
Design and develop high-performance electronic subsystems for ultrasound applications
Contribute to system architecture and the integration of analog, digital, and signal-processing components
Debug, characterize, and validate hardware using oscilloscopes, signal generators, waveform generators, and other laboratory equipment
Develop and automate hardware test and validation workflows using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools
Partner closely with software, systems, and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless system integration
Troubleshoot complex hardware and system-level issues
Document designs, test results, engineering decisions, and performance validation
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
4+ years of professional electrical or hardware engineering experience
Strong hands-on PCB design experience, including schematic capture and layout
Experience with hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation in a laboratory environment
Proficiency using common electrical engineering lab equipment, including oscilloscopes and waveform/signal generators
Working knowledge of Python, MATLAB, or another scripting/programming language
Ability to work cross-functionally on complex hardware/software systems
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Altium Designer or a comparable PCB design platform
Experience designing high-frequency, low-noise, and/or mixed-signal electronics
Background in ultrasound, medical imaging, RF, radar, sensing systems, or other complex electronic platforms
Experience working in a dynamic R&D environment with evolving technical priorities
Ability to maintain ownership and focus through complex, long-cycle engineering development programs

Why This Opportunity
This is an opportunity to work on a technically challenging medical platform where your electrical engineering work will directly influence the performance of a next-generation imaging and therapy system. You’ll have meaningful ownership of hardware development while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team on technology designed to improve patient care.
