Role Description The Radio Frequency Design & Testing Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Irving, TX. This position is responsible for designing RF circuits and systems for in‑building wireless solutions, including radio and cellular enhancement, WiFi, and related infrastructure. Day-to-day activities include developing and simulating RF and analog circuit designs, performing lab and field testing, conducting measurements with network analyzers and other RF test equipment, and validating system performance against specifications. The engineer collaborates with project managers and installation teams to translate customer requirements into practical RF designs, prepares technical documentation and test reports, and supports troubleshooting, optimization, and maintenance of deployed systems. The role also involves staying current with industry standards and best practices to ensure reliable, secure, and compliant wireless solutions.
Qualifications
Strong RF design skills, including RF Circuits and RF Design for in-building wireless and enhancement systems.
Experience with Circuit Design and Analog design for communication and signal chain applications.
Proficiency using RF test equipment such as a Network Analyzer for measurement, calibration, and verification.
Solid understanding of RF propagation, antennas, filters, amplifiers, and wireless communication principles.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degree is a plus.
Hands-on experience in lab and field testing, troubleshooting RF systems, and interpreting test data.
Ability to read and create schematics, use simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, RF design software), and maintain clear documentation.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site with cross-functional teams and customers.
Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., FCC regulations, public safety radio requirements) is beneficial.
Willingness to occasionally visit customer sites, data centers, and other facilities as project needs require.
