An established and leading Precision Timing & Frequency Technology Firm are looking for a Principal Electronics Design Engineer.
The firm is seeking a Principal Electronics Design Engineer to design and develop electronic systems.
Responsibilities
Present product design solutions to customers at technical design reviews.
Electrical design of FPGA, board, and system-level hardware. Support PWB layout activities.
Create system, sub-system, interface, and protocol specifications from external and internal requirements.
Support the creation of production and engineering test plans, test cases, and test procedures.
Supervise product integration, verification, and validation testing.
Qualifications
BSEE with 10 or more years of experience in the design and development of electronic systems.
Systems engineering experience working with internal and external customers to develop hardware and software requirements, solutions, and documentation for new products.
System design and development using embedded GNSS and M-Code/SAASM GPS receivers.
Network design experience including Ethernet and Precision Time Protocol (PTP).
Experience in the design of embedded microprocessor systems.
FPGA design experience using a hardware description language.
Schematic capture experience
Experience leading engineering development teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
U.S. citizenship
Salary: Up to 190k base (can go higher for the right person)
