Job Description – Senior Technical Engineer / PnP Robotics Engineer
Location: Bangalore
Experience: 8-12 Years
Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced PnP Robotics Engineer (System Performance & Validation) to drive benchmarking, performance evaluation, and optimization of Robotics and Linux-based platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Robotics software architecture, system-level performance analysis, and hardware-software interaction across modern computing platforms.
This role requires a hands-on engineer with a deep understanding of Robotics ecosystems (ROS), Linux performance benchmarking, debugging, and system architecture, capable of collaborating across global teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze, benchmark, and optimize performance of Robotics and Linux-based systems.
Design and execute performance validation strategies for new and existing platform features.
Evaluate system behavior and identify performance bottlenecks across hardware and software layers.
Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to improve platform efficiency and scalability.
Develop automation frameworks and performance measurement tools using Python, C/C++, or scripting languages.
Debug complex issues at system and SoC levels.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in development processes, code quality, and performance methodologies.
Present technical findings, performance reports, and optimization recommendations to stakeholders.
Support multiple concurrent projects while ensuring quality and timely execution.
Required Skills & Experience
8-12 years of overall experience in performance engineering, system validation, or benchmarking.
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in the Robotics domain.
Strong understanding of Robotics frameworks such as ROS/ROS2.
Experience in performance benchmarking of Linux-based and Robotics platforms.
Knowledge of computer hardware architecture including:CPU/APU
x86 Architecture
PCIe
Memory Subsystems
Strong understanding of performance analysis methodologies and optimization techniques.
Experience with programming/scripting languages:Python
C/C++
Shell/Perl (preferred)
Proven ability to collaborate across distributed global teams.
Strong debugging and analytical problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience in developing test plans and performance validation frameworks.
System-level and SoC-level debugging expertise.
Understanding of modern x86 microprocessor and server platform architectures.
Knowledge of virtualization and hypervisor technologies:VMware
KVM
Windows Server
Linux Server
Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with AI/Robotics workloads and performance tuning.
Exposure to embedded systems and real-time computing environments.
