We have full-time on-site PhD Student Positions in analog/mixed-signal IC design open at The Analog Lab at Dartmouth College (Hanover, NH, U.S.A.).
Qualifications
Proficiency with Cadence integrated circuit design tools
Tape-out experience: multiple analog/mixed-signal chips
Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (with a focus on analog/mixed-signal IC design)
Proficiency with MATLAB/Python
Proficiency with Altium/Eagle PCB design tools
Proficiency with standard electronics lab testing equipment
Familiarity with machine learning algorithms is a plus
The Dartmouth Engineering PhD program includes some course work, but the focus is mainly on research. At The Analog Lab, our current research thrust is in machine-learning hardware. We are integrating deep learning hardware and analog front ends onto the same chip, with applications in speech processing and in biomedical signal processing. As a PhD student, you will take full ownership of a custom integrated circuit, leading its design, tape-out and testing. You will patent, publish and present your work on your way to earning the PhD degree.
