MES Engineer
A leading industrial technology and automation organization is seeking an experienced MES Engineer to work directly with customers and deliver solutions within the Manufacturing Level 3 space-the critical boundary between plant‑floor automation and IT systems. This role requires strong technical execution, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate in fast‑paced, real‑time process environments.
Key Responsibilities
Execute MES projects including installation, configuration, and deployment of MES platforms (e.g., Syncade or similar systems).
Develop reports, system interfaces, and integrations with Automation, DCS, SCADA, and ERP systems.
Configure servers, databases, and data connections to various third‑party systems.
Troubleshoot system, network, and application issues quickly and effectively.
Implement custom configuration and software components to meet project requirements.
Perform on‑site customer visits for installation, commissioning, startup, and end‑user training.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure solutions are delivered on time and within scope.
Required Skills
Proven project delivery experience involving data systems and MES technologies.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, server setup, and network configuration.
Hands‑on experience with MES systems (Syncade or other major MES platforms).
Familiarity with SQL, VBScript, XML, XSL, and similar technologies.
Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Self‑driven, with consistent follow‑through and a commitment to continuous learning.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent technical degree).
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Ability to travel for on‑site commissioning and training activities.
