Mechanical Project Manager - Golden, CO
I’m working on a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys leading mechanical design projects while still staying close to the technical work.
This is a great fit for a mechanical engineer or project manager who likes having ownership, client interaction, and the ability to help guide projects from early design through construction administration.
What makes this opportunity stand out:
• Lead mechanical and plumbing design projects across commercial, government, education, healthcare, and other building types
• Stay hands-on with HVAC and plumbing design, including load calculations, equipment selection, coordination, and design review
• Manage project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and client communication
• Work closely with architects, contractors, building owners, and internal design teams
• Support construction administration, site visits, field coordination, and problem-solving through project closeout
• Mentor and support junior engineers and designers as they continue developing technically
• Join a smaller, collaborative team where your work is visible and your voice matters
What they offer:
• Competitive compensation based on experience
• Hybrid flexibility with 1 to 2 days remote per week
• Optional flexible schedule/hours
• Medical benefits, 401K match, and PTO
• Tight-knit and well respected team in the Colorado market
• Strong technical mentorship and long-term growth potential
Ideal background:
• 6+ years of mechanical design experience within MEP consulting or building design
• Strong HVAC design experience, with plumbing exposure as a plus
• Experience managing projects, deliverables, schedules, and client communication
• Revit and AutoCAD experience
• PE license is a plus
Must obtain within a few months of employment if not
• Someone who enjoys being both technical and client-facing
If you’re a Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Project Manager in the Denver area who wants more ownership, strong project variety, and a team where you can continue growing without losing the design side, I’d love to connect!
