Mechanical Engineer II (Design) – Semi-Conductor Manufacturing Equipment

They’re looking to bring on a Mechanical Engineer II to support the design and development of complex thermal processing systems and related capital equipment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design mechanical systems and components for advanced capital equipment
- Develop 3D CAD models (SolidWorks) and produce detailed 2D drawings for manufacturing
- Run simulations (thermal, stress, motion) to validate designs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across mechanical, electrical, and software engineering
- Support manufacturing with design improvements, fabrication feedback, and assembly optimization
- Analyze customer requirements and evaluate feasibility, cost, and performance
- Partner with sales and service teams to incorporate real-world feedback into design enhancements
- Contribute to value engineering, cost reduction, and product customization efforts
What They’re Looking For
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
- ~3+ years of experience in high-tech equipment, industrial machinery, or capital equipment environments
- Strong proficiency with SolidWorks (3D + 2D design)
- Solid understanding of GD&T, structural design, and thermal systems
- Experience with machining, fabrication, and real-world mechanical design constraints
- Exposure to electromechanical systems is a plus
- Background in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing is a plus, not required
