Company Description Trishul Space is a space technology startup building lightweight, ready-to-integrate propulsion systems for next-generation launch vehicles. The company focuses on simplifying propulsion integration, increasing payload efficiency, and enabling faster, more scalable launch operations. By delivering flight-ready propulsion solutions, Trishul Space aims to remove propulsion as a major bottleneck in the launch ecosystem, helping launch providers accelerate development and improve launch cadence. The team is currently developing advanced cryogenic propulsion technologies and collaborates with industry partners for manufacturing and commercialization. This environment offers engineers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge hardware with direct impact on real missions.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related discipline.
0–2 years of experience in designing and analyzing mechanical systems through work experience, project-based student experience, internship, or a combination of these.
Basic understanding of fluid mechanics, solid mechanics, engineering drawings, and manufacturing processes.
Working Knowledge of CAD software, preferably SOLIDWORKS.
Basic exposure to finite element analysis using ANSYS or similar tools.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop fluid components for liquid rocket engine system like valves, regulators etc.
Generate CAD models, engineering drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs for fluid component hardware.
Perform or support structural, vibrational, and transient analysis of fluid components used in liquid rocket engine systems.
Support the design of manufacturable, reliable and testable fluid components for high-pressure and cryogenic operating conditions.
Work with propulsion, turbomachinery, manufacturing, supply chain, and testing teams to develop and qualify fluid component hardware.
Prepare and update design documentation such as Preliminary Design Report, Test Request Document, etc.
Support component level testing such as leak testing, proof pressure testing, flow calibration etc.
Participate in root-cause analysis and design improvements based on manufacturing, assembly, and test feedback.
Travel upto 10% in support of hardware manufacturing, integration, and testing.
Be willing to work extended hours and weekends when required to support critical hardware milestones.
Work effectively in a startup environment with ownership, adaptability, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience in designing, building, or testing mechanical systems through academic projects, internships, or industry experience.
Understanding of fundamental principles in fluid systems, solid mechanics, thermal systems and basic electrical/electromechanical systems.
Knowledge of valves, regulators, actuators, motors, springs, seals, gears and other electromechanical devices.
Exposure to high-pressure systems, cryogenic systems, rocket propulsion systems, or test rigs is bonus.
Basic knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, material selection and manufacturing methods.
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, enthusiasm for problem solving, and a desire to improve rocket hardware design, production, and testing processes.
Candidates from related industries with relevant mechanical design, analysis and testing experience are encouraged to apply.
