Activities:
- Design and Modeling: Creating and revising detailed designs and 3D models of gearbox systems and associated components (gears, shafts, bearings, housings/casings) using CAD software (.
- Documentation and Release: Preparing and approving engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOM), and technical documentation, and coordinating their release to production.
- Collaboration and Support: Working within cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software, manufacturing, quality, testing, program management, suppliers, and customers) to integrate all technical requirements and resolve problems.
- Testing and Validation: Writing and reviewing test plans and reports, collecting and maintaining test data, performing troubleshooting, and supporting prototype manufacturing and lab testing.
- Problem Solving: Applying root-cause analysis to solve design or field problems and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Compliance: Ensuring designs comply with customer, regulatory, and company policies and standards.
