Application Engineer

The Richmond Group USA is working with an industry-leading manufacturer to find their next Applications Engineer. This is a great opportunity for a mechanical engineer who enjoys solving problems, working directly with customers, and designing custom solutions rather than doing the same drawing day after day.


In this role, you'll serve as the technical bridge between customers, sales, engineering, and operations—translating customer requirements into engineered solutions, supporting quotations, troubleshooting applications, and helping drive product improvements. We're looking for someone with 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience who enjoys tackling technical challenges, collaborating with customers, and developing engineered solutions from concept through production. Strong communication skills, customer-facing experience, and the ability to write technical reports are important.

Background:
BS in Mechanical Engineering required; 3+ years of mechanical engineering and product design experience.
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
Experience developing custom-engineered solutions, not just CAD modeling.
Excellent communication, technical writing, and project coordination skils.
