Job Title: Lead Electrical Engineer – Pharma (Automation & Validation)
Location: Fall River, MA (On-site)
About The Role
We are hiring a Lead Electrical Engineer to support electrical engineering, automation systems, and validation activities within a sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role will lead PLC/SCADA/BMS systems, electrical infrastructure, and system qualification (IQ/OQ) while ensuring compliance with cGMP, FDA, and NEC standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead electrical engineering projects from design → installation → commissioning → qualification
Oversee power distribution systems, control panels, and plant electrical infrastructure
Manage and troubleshoot automation systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA, BMS)
Support and execute electrical system validation (IQ/OQ)
Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, NEC, and regulatory standards
Prepare and maintain electrical schematics, documentation, and validation records
Drive CapEx projects including budgeting, vendor coordination, and execution
Collaborate with Validation, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams
Support change control, deviations, and audit readiness
Troubleshoot plant systems and implement process improvements
Ensure all electrical systems meet safety, quality, and compliance standards
Must-Have Requirements (Strict Screening)
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing (mandatory)
Hands-on experience with PLC / HMI / SCADA / BMS systems in pharma environment
Experience with electrical system qualification (IQ/OQ) in cGMP setting
Strong knowledge of power distribution systems and NEC standards
Experience working in sterile manufacturing (vials / PFS / IV bags)
Exposure to validation documentation and regulatory compliance (FDA/cGMP)
Good to Have
PMP certification
Experience with SAP or project management tools
Exposure to CapEx project execution and vendor management
Skills: scada,validation,automation
