About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Hardware/Electrical Design Engineer with a strong background in high-precision test, measurement, automation, and instrumentation systems. This role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge hardware solutions from concept through deployment, collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Gather requirements from laboratory and test stakeholders
✅ Design and develop electrical hardware solutions
✅ Create system architectures and detailed circuit designs
✅ Develop low-noise, high-accuracy instrumentation and test equipment
✅ Perform design validation, verification, and troubleshooting
✅ Conduct design reviews and maintain high-quality documentation
✅ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve and automate testing infrastructure
Required Technical Expertise
🔹 Analog Design (Highly Preferred)
Low-noise analog circuit design
Signal conditioning
ADCs and DACs
Error budgeting and tolerance analysis
Grounding and noise reduction techniques
Stability and bandwidth analysis
🔹 Power Electronics
Power supply design
DC-DC converters
Thermal management and heat dissipation
Reliability and efficiency calculations
🔹 Digital Electronics
Microcontrollers
FPGA exposure (preferred)
Logic analysis and debugging
Communication protocols: I2C, SPI, USB, SPMI
🔹 PCB Design
Schematic capture
Circuit simulation
Multilayer PCB layout
Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
🔹 Test & Measurement Equipment
Oscilloscopes
Digital Multimeters (DMM/DVM)
Function Generators
Logic Analyzers
Spectrum Analyzers
Electronic Loads
Data Acquisition Systems
🔹 Software & Analysis Skills
Python scripting
FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
FTA (Fault Tree Analysis)
Statistical analysis
Six Sigma methodologies
Technical documentation and specification writing
Qualifications
✔ 8+ years of hands-on electrical hardware design experience
✔ Experience owning designs from requirements through deployment
✔ Ability to independently lead hardware design efforts and technical reviews
✔ Strong verbal and written communication skills

Pay and Benefits
Pay Range Minimum: $ 120000 per Year
Pay Range Maximum: $ 130000 Per Year

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.
