Key Responsibilities
Perform board bring-up, hardware validation, and functional verification of new designs.
Debug complex hardware issues involving processors, memory, power systems, and high-speed interfaces.
Analyze schematics, board layouts, and design documents to identify and resolve hardware issues.
Conduct root cause analysis using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, and DMMs.
Validate interfaces including PCIe, USB, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, UART, DDR, and JTAG.
Work closely with firmware, software, FPGA, and manufacturing teams during product development.
Develop and execute test plans for system-level validation and reliability testing.
Support failure analysis, issue tracking, and corrective action implementation.
Review hardware designs and provide recommendations for improved debugability and performance.
Required Skills
Strong experience in board bring-up, hardware debug, and system validation.
Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and other lab equipment.
Strong understanding of digital electronics, analog circuits, and power architecture.
Experience debugging CPU, FPGA, SoC, DDR memory, and high-speed interfaces.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and datasheets.
Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, and EMC/EMI concepts.
Familiarity with Linux-based hardware debugging environments is preferred.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
