As a Firmware Engineer, you will play an active role in every phase of the FPGA development cycle,including the design,installation, and troubleshooting of the firmware used to design FPGA based hardware systems and their components.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect, implement, and maintain complex FPGA designs.
In depth knowledgeand use of VHDL, Verilog,and System VerilogHDL languages.
Experience and know how to use Matlab and other similartools to generate appropriate data sets and logic generation coefficients.
Experience and use of XilinxVivado FPGA design tools.
Use and implement constraints using tcl based scriptsand commands.
Debug designs using simulations and ILA real-timeanalyzers.
Simulate logic designsand built testbenches.
Adapt systems quickly to meet changing businessneeds.
Assist with the management of upgrades to existing systemsand implementation of newsystems.
Write scripts, conducttesting, and resolvedebugging tasks.
Serve as a technical resourceto the team.
Handle testing, systemperformance, environmental and system troubleshooting.
Support planning the development activities, perform technical design and code reviews.
Deliver to objectives including meeting deadlines and schedule.
Understand hardware and softwareinteractions and collaborate with hardware engineers.
Maintain and improve existingdesigns and sourcecode to help attain the goal of a modular structure.
Performs other relatedduties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Maintain US Citizenship.
Maintain Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain.
Proficiency in VHDL, Verilog and System Verilog HDL languages.
Education/Training/Experience:
Requires a master's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or relevant field.
10+ years relevant experience.
Strong programming and code writingskills.
Experience with testing,validation, and debugging tools.
5+ years relevant experience in firmware development.
Experience with Linuxoperating procedures is a plus.
We are a Federal Contractor and based upon the duties and responsibilities of this position, a security clearance may be required. You MUST be a U.S. citizen to obtain a security clearance.
