Key Responsibilities
JOB DESCRIPTION
Design new products and re-engineer existing designs for performance ,localization, cost improvement & Design Cycle time reduction.
Develop 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using PTC Creo
Create detailed manufacturing drawings with GD&T, specifications
Develop and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) including configurations
Use PLM system for part creation, revision control, and engineering changes (ECR/ECO)
Ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA)
Standardized Engineering drawings, templates, and drafting practices across projects
Develop and implement design automation tools (Creo relations, parameters, family tables, mapkeys, automation scripts)
Improve design efficiency through parametric modeling and automation workflows
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (procurement, production, suppliers)
Perform root cause analysis and implement design improvements,
Support prototype builds, testing, and production issues resolution
Technical Skill Requirements
Expertise in sheet metal design (bending, tolerance, fabrication methods)
Experience of piping layout design including routing and serviceability
Proficiency in PTC Creo (3D modeling, assembly, detailing)
Understanding of HVAC system components ,Basic Thermodynamic & Heat Exchanger.
Knowledge of Engineering drawings and GD&T
BOM structure and configuration management
Exposure to PLM tools and Engineering change processes
Experience in drawing standardization and part library creation
Experience in design automation using CAD tools (parametric modeling, family tables, mapkeys, scripting preferred)
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering
5-8 years of experience in Mechanical design or HVAC Product Design.
Experience In Thermal Products Is Preferred
Exposure to CAD design automation tools or programming is an added advantage
