About the Company

We are looking for a dynamic and hands-on Embedded Hardware/Software Design Engineer who can work across the complete embedded system development lifecycle. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of both electronics hardware and embedded software and should be comfortable taking a system from requirements and architecture through hardware design, firmware development, integration, testing, debugging, and final qualification. This role is suited for engineers who enjoy understanding the complete system, rather than working exclusively within either hardware or software.

About the Role
A short paragraph summarizing the key role responsibilities.

Responsibilities
Understand system-level requirements and translate them into hardware and software architectures.
Design embedded electronic systems including:
- Microcontroller / processor-based architectures
- Power supply and power distribution circuits
- Analog and digital interfaces
- Sensors and actuator interfaces
- Communication interfaces
- Memory and peripheral interfaces
Perform component selection, schematic design, design reviews, and PCB design coordination.
Develop and debug embedded firmware in C/C++.
Develop firmware for peripherals and communication protocols such as:
- UART
- SPI
- I2C
- CAN / CAN-FD
- RS-232 / RS-422 / RS-485
- Ethernet and other interfaces as required
Develop device drivers, board-support software, and application-level embedded software.
Work with bare-metal and/or RTOS-based embedded systems.
Perform board bring-up, hardware validation, firmware integration, and system-level debugging.
Debug hardware and software issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, debuggers, protocol analyzers, and other laboratory equipment.
Develop test setups, test firmware, and validation procedures.
Participate in design reviews, failure analysis, root-cause analysis, and design improvement activities.
Prepare and maintain engineering documentation including architecture documents, interface definitions, schematics, test procedures, design notes, and test reports.
Work closely with mechanical, electronics, software, RF, systems, testing, manufacturing, and other engineering teams.
Take ownership of assigned subsystems and drive them from concept through implementation and validation.

Qualifications
B.Tech / B.E. in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) or a closely related electronics discipline

Required Skills
Strong fundamentals in analog and digital electronics.
Good understanding of microcontrollers, processors, memories, ADCs, DACs, sensors, and common peripheral devices.
Good understanding of embedded hardware architecture and board-level design.
Strong programming skills in Embedded C/C++.
Understanding of microcontroller peripherals, interrupts, timers, DMA, watchdogs, boot processes, and memory architectures.
Experience with common embedded communication protocols.
Ability to read and understand schematics, datasheets, timing diagrams, and hardware specifications.
Hands-on experience with board bring-up and debugging.
Ability to debug problems spanning both hardware and firmware.
Good analytical and system-level problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills
Candidates with experience in one or more of the following will have an advantage:
ARM Cortex-M based microcontrollers
STM32, Microchip SAM, NXP, TI, Renesas, or similar platforms
FreeRTOS or other RTOS platforms
CAN, RS-422/485, Ethernet, USB or other industrial communication interfaces
Bootloaders and firmware upgrade architectures
ADC/DAC and sensor interfacing
Power electronics and DC-DC converter design
EMI/EMC-aware PCB and system design
Hardware-in-the-loop or automated testing
Python scripting for testing and automation
Git and modern software development workflows
FPGA interfaces or basic FPGA knowledge
High-reliability, aerospace, defence, automotive, robotics, industrial, or other complex embedded systems
