Loar Group (NYSE: LOAR) is seeking an Electronics Design Engineer for one of its business units in the Southwestern US. Loar Group specializes in acquiring and growing companies that design and manufacture highly engineered products for the global aerospace and defense market. To date, Loar has acquired 20 niche aerospace and defense manufacturing businesses across the U.S. and Europe.

The Electronics Design Engineer is responsible for hands‑on, full life‑cycle electronic design and verification of processor‑ and component‑based devices used in avionics systems and related product lines. This role is based onsite and supports product development activities within an avionics manufacturing environment.

The Electronics Design Engineer will:
Design and verify electronic circuits at the board and component level from clean‑sheet concepts through release, in compliance with avionics and military standards.
Build and expand technical knowledge in aerospace optics and electronics as required to support the design and development of the company’s switch products.
Execute full product life‑cycle responsibilities, including concept development, design, reviews, verification, and release to Manufacturing.
Create design artifacts such as schematics, assembly drawings, and fabrication drawings using CAD and EDA tools.
Apply circuit simulation tools to model and validate electronic designs.
Manage and support suppliers through successful fabrication of rigid and flexible printed circuit boards.
Support the implementation and use of test systems, including software‑based test tools.
Create and maintain product design documentation required by internal quality systems, including specifications, verification plans, test reports, and engineering change documentation.
Support development of new products as well as ongoing support of existing products.
Collaborate with software and mechanical engineering teams throughout the design and development process.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in analog circuit design and troubleshooting, including embedded electronics, microcontrollers, or processors.
Hands‑on experience with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and power supplies.
Experience using CAD and EDA tools such as AutoCAD, OrCAD, or KiCad.
Working knowledge of communication protocols including Ethernet, RS‑232, RS‑485, CAN, and ARINC 429.
