A leading medical technology and advanced motion control company in the great Boston area is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer. The team develops high-performance motor drives and motion solutions used in surgical robotics, robotic vehicles, semiconductor manufacturing, and satellite systems. This is an opportunity to work directly with mixed-signal, analog, digital, FPGA, microcontroller, and power-conversion technologies.

They’re looking for an experienced PCB-level Electrical Engineer who enjoys hands-on design, troubleshooting, testing, and bringing new products from concept through production.
Contract Duration: Contract to Hire
Required Skills & Experience
BS in Electrical Engineering
8+ years of direct PCB-level electrical design experience
Experience designing FPGA-based mixed-signal systems
Experience with analog, digital, interface, and power conversion circuitry
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience using oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, and multimeters
Experience with PCB design tools such as OrCAD Capture, PADS, or Allegro
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience with motor drives or motion control systems
FPGA-based systems experience
Knowledge of EMC and electrical safety standards
Familiarity with functional safety requirements
Experience with compliance and reliability testing
Experience developing test plans, specifications, and test reports
Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering
