Qualifications:
Must meet all eligibility requirements to access ITAR-controlled information.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 7 years of experience, or equivalent experience aligned with the Electrical Engineer (I-V) level
Experience designing electronic hardware for complex systems.
Strong background in digital and/or analog circuit design.
Experience with systems integration, testing, verification, and validation.
Ability to develop detailed design documentation, technical reports, and design review packages.
Experience researching and selecting electronic components.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electronic schematics, and software flowcharts.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information to customers and internal teams.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment.
Preferred:
Experience in military, aerospace, or other high-reliability industries.
Multi-disciplinary engineering experience.
Experience with one or more of the following:
Analog circuit design
DC power supplies
Batteries and charging systems
AC inverters
Data acquisition systems (signal conditioning, ADC/DAC)
Motor drives
Transistor control and drive circuits (BJT, MOSFET, GaNFET)
High-speed digital circuit design
Communication interface design
Microcontroller and microprocessor design
Experience with FPGA development and verification.
Familiarity with HDL programming.
Experience with Xilinx Virtex 4/5 devices.
Experience with Microsemi ProASIC and RTAX devices.
Experience using CAD and engineering design tools, including:
DxDesigner (preferred)
PSpice (OrCAD) or LTspice
Xilinx ISE
Microsemi Libero
ModelSim
Familiarity with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Access.
Additional Requirements:
Must be eligible to access export-controlled information in accordance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Ability to travel as required to support customer meetings, integration activities, and testing.
Key Results:
Create electronic hardware designs that meet or exceed product requirements and specifications.
Generate complete engineering documentation, including design analyses, calculations, and "as-built" measurements and test results.
Develop product specifications that satisfy customer requirements while meeting schedule and budget objectives.
Design and implement electrical test methods to verify product functionality, performance, and quality.
Prepare technically complete Data Reports and Design Review packages that achieve first-pass customer approval.
Deliver reliable, cost-effective, and manufacturable product designs that support customer and company objectives.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Design and develop electronic hardware that meets customer and program requirements.
Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications through research, analysis, and testing.
Design and execute verification and validation testing for electrical systems and components.
Develop electrical products by evaluating customer requirements, manufacturing methods, and material selection.
Perform systems integration and testing activities.
Complete detailed design analyses and supporting documentation for customer design reviews and product reliability.
Generate engineering documentation, technical reports, and design review packages.
Conduct component research, evaluation, and selection.
Design digital and/or analog circuits for aerospace and defense applications.
Ensure compliance with applicable company, customer, federal, and state requirements.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations to customers during design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and program reviews.
Interface effectively with cross-functional engineering disciplines throughout product development.
Respond to technical questions and provide engineering support to internal and external stakeholders.
Develop efficient, cost-effective, and high-value engineering solutions.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
