ANDRO Computational Solutions is seeking a full-time Electrical Engineer to join our advanced waveform development team. This role is well suited for entry-level engineers with strong fundamentals in digital communications, signal processing, or RF systems, while also welcoming MS graduates and experienced candidates interested in applied Software Defined Radio (SDR) R&D.
Our team uses rapid prototyping approaches across multiple SDR platforms and advanced software techniques to develop real-world wireless communications and networking solutions. You will work alongside experienced SDR and software engineers in a small, research-focused environment that emphasizes technical mentorship and career growth.
In this role, you will contribute to waveform software development, testing, and system integration efforts, helping transition designs from models and prototypes into operational SDR implementations. The position provides hands-on exposure to SDR systems, embedded platforms, waveform design, and performance optimization techniques.
Responsibilities:
Support the design and implementation of SDR-based waveforms
Assist with waveform development, integration, and testing activities
Contribute to C++ and Python signal processing and waveform software
Execute test procedures and analyze waveform performance results
Support code reviews, documentation, and test reporting
Help port and adapt software to SDR and embedded platforms
Collaborate closely with senior engineers and researchers on R&D efforts
Required Qualifications:
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
Academic or project experience in digital communications, DSP, or RF systems
Programming experience in at least one of the following: C++, Python, or MATLAB
Familiarity with Linux development environments (coursework or project experience acceptable)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Willingness to learn and contribute in a research-driven environment
U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with SDR platforms (USRP, BladeRF, HackRF, RTL-SDR, or similar)
Coursework or project work in wireless communications or SDR waveform development
Experience using Git or other version control systems
Exposure to embedded systems or cross-platform development
Familiarity with multithreading, optimization, or performance tuning
Understanding of networking fundamentals and Linux virtual interfaces
