Role Description The Director – RTL and SoC Design is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru South. This position leads the end-to-end RTL and SoC design activities, including architecture definition, micro-architecture specification, RTL development, integration, and sign-off for complex, low-power AI compute solutions. The role oversees design teams, sets technical direction, reviews design quality, and ensures alignment with performance, power, and area targets. The director collaborates closely with architecture, verification, physical design, firmware, and software teams to deliver robust, production-ready silicon. Responsibilities also include hiring and mentoring team members, establishing best practices and design methodologies, and driving continuous improvement in design flows and tools.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in digital design fundamentals, including micro-architecture, RTL coding (SystemVerilog/VHDL), and SoC integration for complex, high-performance chips.
Proven experience in low-power design techniques, clock and power management, and optimization for performance, power, and area in advanced process nodes.
Background in verification methodologies, familiarity with UVM-based flows, and close collaboration with DV and physical design teams to achieve design sign-off.
Experience leading and scaling technical teams, including mentoring, performance management, and establishing design processes and quality standards.
Knowledge of AI, data center, or edge compute architectures and related system-level considerations is highly beneficial.
Excellent communication, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder management skills in a fast-paced, global environment.
Typically requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with substantial industry experience in RTL and SoC design leadership.
