Job Description
You will be the Circuit Design Engineer – Sniper Advanced Targeting Pod (ATP) for the Advanced Targeting Pod team. Our team delivers the high visibility Sniper pod that provides passive detection, high definition EO/IR imaging, laser designation, and two way video for air to air and air to surface missions. We design, develop, and sustain the circuit cards that keep the pod performing reliably in the most demanding combat environments.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Circuit Design Engineer, you will own the end to end lifecycle of ATP circuit cards—from schematic capture through fielded production—while supporting manpower planning, cost schedule management, and new business capture. Your responsibilities will include:
Creating detailed schematics and performing signal integrity, power, and RF simulations using Xilinx Vivado, Microsemi Libero, and other industry standard tools.
Driving hardware integration, qualification, and test campaigns to verify performance and reliability across the product lifecycle.
Managing obsolescence, developing mitigation strategies, and resolving production issues to keep the pod in continuous production.
Maintaining configuration control and documentation (requirements, design packages, test reports) in compliance with aerospace standards.
Collaborating with systems, software, mechanical, and test engineers to ensure seamless system level integration.
Contributing to manpower forecasts, cost estimates, and schedule plans; supporting capture proposals and presenting technical solutions to customers.
Leading trade studies and risk assessments, and providing technical mentorship to junior engineers.
