Role Description This is a full-time, on-site CAD-CAM Engineer role based in Mandya. The CAD-CAM Engineer will create and modify PCB-related designs using CAD and EDA tools, ensuring manufacturability, reliability, and adherence to industry standards. Responsibilities include preparing detailed physical design layouts, generating CAM data for fabrication, and collaborating with design, production, and quality teams to optimize processes. The role involves reviewing engineering drawings and customer specifications, performing design checks, and supporting prototype and production runs. The engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, documentation, and troubleshooting design-related issues on the shop floor.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for PCB or mechanical detail design.
Experience with EDA tools and platforms, including working knowledge of Cadence or similar environments.
Foundational understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles relevant to PCB fabrication and assembly.
Knowledge of physical design concepts such as layout, clearances, stack-up, and manufacturability constraints.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline).
Familiarity with PCB manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards (e.g., IPC guidelines) is an advantage.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and documentation accurately.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and capability to work collaboratively in an on-site production environment.
