About the Role
This role involves developing and releasing body-in-white (BIW) and exterior body components using 3D CAD tools across concept, design, and launch phases.
Responsibilities
Create and maintain detailed CAD models, assemblies, sections, and 2D drawings as per design standards
Perform design feasibility studies, packaging assessments, and engineering trade-offs
Apply GD&T principles to ensure manufacturability, quality, and dimensional accuracy
Collaborate with CAE teams for crash, durability, NVH, and structural requirements
Support engineering changes, design updates, and configuration management using PLM systems
Assist in prototype builds, virtual validation, and physical testing
Work closely with manufacturing teams, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams
Ensure compliance with cost, weight, timing, and quality targets
