BMS / EPMS Design Engineer – Data Centres (Remote or Office)

We are currently seeking an experienced BMS/EPMS Design Engineer to support the delivery of data centre projects, focusing on high-performance, mission-critical environments. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle, from concept design through to delivery.

The Role
You will be responsible for the design and implementation of BMS/EPMS systems, ensuring alignment with client objectives and data centre performance requirements. You will work closely with clients, vendors, and internal engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
Equipment selection and preparation of supporting technical reports
Creation of plans, drawings, and control system designs
Development of sequence of operations (SOO) and control narratives
Drafting P&IDs, control panel layouts, and controls network architectures
Preparing bench testing scripts and control system specifications
Reviewing shop drawings in line with project requirements
Attending project meetings and coordinating with clients and vendors

Required Experience
5+ years of experience with BMS/EPMS/DCIM/SCADA systems
Strong experience within data centre environments
Knowledge of data centre cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH, chillers, CDU, cooling towers, liquid cooling, etc.)
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and facility layouts
Experience managing multiple projects with strong attention to detail
Strong communication skills, including the ability to engage with non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field
Experience working within Architecture & Engineering (A/E) firms
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
EIT or PE certification

Location
Remote or office-based depending on candidate preference and project requirements (office preferred).
