firstPRO is seeking a highly skilled Workday Integration Developer to support a fast-paced enterprise environment. This is a hands-on, contract role focused on designing, building, and supporting integrations across Workday HCM, Payroll, and Benefits systems.
This position requires a technical resource who can quickly step into a live environment, stabilize existing integrations, and contribute to new interface development efforts. The ideal candidate will bring strong integration expertise, the ability to troubleshoot production issues, and the communication skills needed to collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain Workday integrations across HCM, Payroll, and Benefits systems.
Develop and enhance interfaces between Workday and external vendor platforms (e.g., benefits providers and third-party systems).
Support inbound and outbound data integrations, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and data integrity.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues (break/fix) in a timely manner.
Analyze existing integrations and recommend improvements or optimizations.
Manage the full integration lifecycle, including requirements gathering, development, testing, and deployment.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Communicate updates on progress, risks, and issue resolution across cross-functional teams.
Requirements
Strong hands-on experience with Workday Integration Development.
Proven experience supporting Workday HCM, Payroll, and Benefits integrations.
Experience working with Workday Studio, Workday APIs, and integration frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues in live environments.
Experience building and supporting inbound and outbound data integrations.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work in client-facing or stakeholder-facing environments.
Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-priority environment.
