Compensation Data
The salary range for this position is $85,000-$100,000 and reflects factors such as years of experience, relevant expertise, and overall qualifications.
Job Summary
The primary function of the Wireless Test Engineer is to focus on conducting RF compliance testing. Responsibilities include setup, measurement, and documentation of tests. Interface with customers daily. The candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently and within a team structure. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional customer service skills, be motivated, well organized, detailed oriented and dependable. The exemplar candidate will possess a firm understanding of the following standards: EN 300 328, EN 301 893, EN 300 220/330/440, EN302 502, ETSI EN 301-489, ANSI C63.10, RSS-GEN. FCC Part 15, 22, 24, 27, 90; LP0002.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Responsible for performing RF and EMC testing to CE and FCC standards.
Provide guidance services for RF regulatory (e.g. CE/ FCC/ ISED) related questions internally and externally.
Support RF regulatory (e.g. CE/ FCC/ ISED) related tests, draft test plans and reports.
Support quality initiatives of laboratory regarding general maintenance, calibration, testing process, etc.
Function as the coordinating interface by tracking and communicating RF related projects.
Analyze test data and reports and identify all deviations.
Maintain confidentially of all TUV and client information.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications And Requirements
Knowledge, Skill, & Abilities
Good knowledge and operational skills on RF regulatory (CE/ FCC/ ISED) test equipment.
Good knowledge of Japan, Korea, and Taiwan RF regulatory testing.
Good knowledge on RF laboratory services preferably within the TIC industry.
At least 3 years working experience in the RF regulatory (CE/ FCC/ ISED) related testing lab.
Experience using lab test equipment including spectrum analyzer, power meters, communication tester, call box etc.
Experience with RF testing for: Wi-Fi, BT, BLE, Zigbee, Thread, RFID, LoRa, transmitters.
Experience with RF testing for: CDMA/WCDMA, GSM/EDGE, LTE, 5GNR transmitters.
Experience performing Power, OBW, PSD, Blocking, Adaptivity and DFS testing.
Familiar with ISO 17025 quality system and general understanding of standard explanation
Familiar with test automation using communication protocols including GPIB, USB, TCP-IP.
Computer literacy required including Microsoft Office applications.
EMC 32, Elektra, WMC 32, BAT EMC, WMS 32
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or 4 years equivalent work experience required.
