About the company:
We are a specialized engineering firm and a leading provider of high-performance semiconductor intellectual property (IP) cores. Our highly optimized technology powers advanced video and display interfaces for complex ASICs and FPGAs. From next-generation digital display solutions to complex video compression algorithms, our engineering allows the world's top silicon manufacturers to bring cutting-edge visual experiences to market faster and more reliably.
Our success is driven by a deep focus on engineering excellence and strict compliance with global industry standards. We operate in a highly technical and precise niche where our clients rely on our rigorously tested IP to reduce development risk and accelerate product launches. We maintain a collaborative team of veteran hardware engineers and software developers who are obsessed with pushing the boundaries of bandwidth, resolution, and power efficiency in modern display technology.
We offer a highly focused environment for professionals who want to work at the foundational level of hardware design. You will have the opportunity to tackle complex integration challenges and see your work embedded in millions of consumer and commercial devices globally. If you are passionate about semiconductor design and want to build the underlying architecture of digital video technology alongside industry experts, we would love to have you on our team.
Verification Engineer:
Our client is seeking a Verification Engineer to join a growing engineering team focused on developing and validating advanced intellectual property used in next-generation visual computing and embedded technology solutions. This is an opportunity for a self-driven engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, values writing high-quality code, and thrives in a collaborative, low-ego environment where individuals take ownership from concept through verification.
This role is fully remote with occasional office visits in Portland, Oregon. Applicants located in Portland, Oregon or Seattle, Washington are preferred.
Verification Engineer Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive verification strategies to validate complex digital IP and ensure functional correctness.
Design, implement, and maintain scalable SystemVerilog-based verification environments, including testbenches, reference models, checkers, and coverage components.
Partner closely with architecture and RTL engineering teams to review specifications, identify verification requirements, and resolve design issues throughout development.
Create, maintain, and track detailed verification plans to ensure complete feature coverage and compliance with design specifications.
Build and execute functional tests, analyze results, and drive issues to resolution while meeting quality and project milestones.
Contribute to verification methodology improvements, automation efforts, and continuous enhancements to development processes.
Support integration and validation of complex digital systems used across a variety of advanced technology applications.
Collaborate effectively within a fully remote engineering team while independently managing priorities and deliverables.
Verification Engineer Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Demonstrated experience verifying complex digital designs using SystemVerilog and modern verification methodologies.
Hands-on experience with DisplayPort, Display Stream Compression (DSC), or closely related display interface technologies.
Strong understanding of digital system design, integration, and verification for sophisticated hardware IP.
Proven ability to create structured verification plans, develop reusable verification components, and achieve comprehensive coverage goals.
Strong programming and debugging skills with a commitment to producing clean, maintainable, and reliable code.
Experience working independently in a remote environment with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Background in smaller, fast-paced engineering organizations or environments where engineers take ownership across multiple aspects of development is highly valued.
