UX Design Engineer, Remote, US, $150K–$195K base + equity, Software Engineering skills also, Figma, UX, UI
We’re working with a fast-scaling AI company building cutting-edge tooling used by some of the world’s leading engineering teams. As they continue to grow, they’re looking for a UX Design Engineer to take full ownership of product experience and help elevate the usability of a highly technical platform.
This is not a traditional design role.
You’ll sit at the intersection of UX, UI, and frontend engineering, owning the full journey from identifying user pain points through to designing and implementing improvements directly in the product.~
What you’ll be doing:
• Owning end-to-end product experience across a complex, technical platform
• Identifying friction points through user research and session analysis
• Rapidly prototyping new interaction patterns (Figma + code)
• Implementing UI/UX improvements alongside senior engineers
• Refining flows, edge cases, onboarding, and overall usability
• Building reusable interaction patterns and contributing to design systems
What they’re looking for:
• Strong UX/UI design skills with hands-on Figma experience
• Ability to code and ship frontend/UI improvements
• Background in frontend engineering, UI engineering, or UX engineering
• Experience working on complex B2B, developer tools, or data platforms
• Strong product mindset with attention to detail and user experience
• Comfortable using modern tooling (e.g. Cursor, AI-assisted coding tools)
