What You’ll Be Doing
Lead or support the design of roadway projects including typical sections, geometric layouts, drainage and hydraulic analyses, erosion control plans, safety features, and maintenance of traffic plans
Prepare construction documents, including plans, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates
Manage tasks and oversee work performed by junior engineers and CAD technicians
Support the development and training of early-career staff
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure design excellence and client satisfaction
Support a diverse portfolio of projects, including federal, commercial, and institutional clients
What You Bring To The Team
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Oklahoma
Minimum of 5 years transportation design experience
Proficiency with AutoDesk, Civil 3D, or OpenRoads
Working knowledge of design standards and guidelines including:
AASHTO Green Book
Roadside Design Guide
MUTCD
Oklahoma DOT Roadway Design Manual
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) projects and familiarity with their design standards and plan development preferences
Essential Physical Functions
Sit/stand at a desk or computer
Walk, stoop, stand and move around job sites
Travel and occasional site visits requiring stooping, standing, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
Frequent communication via phone, video, or in-person meetings
Ability to focus on digital and paper-based information for extended periods
Some project-based travel may be required
