What You Will Do
This position will be within the District 7 Capital Programs Department: specifically, the in-house Roadway Engineering team at the District Headquarters in Sidney, OH. Working under the District Roadway Design Engineer
You will review plans as a subject matter expert for maintenance of traffic and traffic control.
You will provide direction and comments to project managers, designers, and other project staff.
You will perform site visits to collect information or troubleshoot issues.
You will perform drafting/CADD as the program necessitates.

Licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 mos. exp. as group or project leader providing work direction & training to engineering technicians &/or lower-level engineers or 12 mos. exp. in conducting engineering related research (i.e., conducting engineering related research only applies to staff specialist positions); if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites, must possess valid driver’s license.
Or licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 mos. exp. as Transportation Engineer 2, 85642; if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites, must possess valid driver’s license.
Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience required, but not for the mandated registration.
