We are seeking a senior Transmission Calibration Engineer with strong expertise in automatic transmission systems to support vehicle programs focused on performance, drivability, and quality. This role requires hands-on experience in calibration development, system-level understanding, and data-driven problem solving in a cross-functional engineering environment.

Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain transmission calibration datasets (DVMs, DVP and R) using vehicle and dynamometer data
• Calibrate and optimize shift scheduling, torque management, and line pressure strategies
• Support vehicle-level testing, validation, and issue resolution activities related to transmission performance and drivability
• Lead root cause analysis for transmission-related issues using vehicle, dyno, and field data
• Analyze warranty data, customer feedback, and connected vehicle data to identify trends and drive corrective actions
• Collaborate with controls, software, and system engineering teams to define calibration strategies and control system requirements
• Interpret and work with C-based control software to support calibration changes and troubleshooting
• Develop and monitor data analysis tools and dashboards to support quality improvement activities
• Support development activities for current and future vehicle programs, including hybrid applications

Required Experience
• Minimum 8 years of experience in automatic transmission calibration or related powertrain domain
• Strong knowledge of transmission control systems, including shift logic, torque control, and pressure management
• Experience with vehicle-level and/or dynamometer-based calibration activities
• Proven experience in diagnosing and resolving drivability and performance issues
• Experience working in cross-functional teams including controls, software, and system engineering Familiarity with quality processes and data analysis related to warranty and field performance

Technical Skills
Ability to read and interpret embedded software and C code
Strong understanding of CAN communication and automotive data analysis
Experience with calibration and validation processes and methodologies
Knowledge of driveline and transmission system behavior in both conventional and hybrid powertrains
Tools and Technologies
Experience with calibration tools such as ATI Vision or ETAS INCA
Experience with data analysis tools such as CANalyzer and CANoe
Working knowledge of MATLAB and Simulink
Experience with data processing and reporting tools for quality analysis

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with OEM transmission systems (e.g. Ford or equivalent environments)
Experience in hybrid powertrain calibration
Background in diagnostics and drivability engineering
