Summary
The Transceiver Test Engineer is responsible for testing, debugging, and supporting the development of high-speed optical transceivers (800G to 1.6Tbps). This role supports AOI’s optoelectronics manufacturing operations teams by identifying and analyzing root causes of performance issues to ensure product quality, reliability, and compliance with high-speed communication standards.
Job Duties
Perform design verification and testing of high-speed optical transceivers (800G to 1.6Tbps) to ensure performance and reliability.
Install and maintain optical transceiver testing equipment, including PPG/ED, DCA, CDR, etc.
Set up and conduct optical transceiver communication link tests in compliance with MSA/IEEE standards.
Debug and troubleshoot link failure and work with cross-functional teams to figure out root causes.
Develop and revise transceiver automatic testing software using LabView/Python for data collection and test efficiency.
Document reports for various optical transceiver qualification tests.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Optical engineering with 2+ years of experience or Master's degree with 1+ year of experience
Must be bilingual in Chinese (Mandarin)
Familiarity with Linux, Python and LabVIEW are preferred
3 years of experience working in an engineering laboratory environment
Experience with optical transceiver communication link test
Location
This position will be on-site based in Sugar Land, Texas.
