About the Role
We're hiring a Tooling Design Engineer to lead the design and development of tooling, fixtures, and production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is highly design-focused, owning tooling from concept through implementation to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop tooling, fixtures, and workholding solutions
Own CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation
Support new product launches with tooling and manufacturability input
Troubleshoot tooling and equipment issues on the production floor
Drive improvements in cycle time, quality, and process efficiency
Assist in validation, process readiness, and implementation of engineering changes
Support lean manufacturing initiatives and structured problem-solving efforts
Contribute to preventative maintenance strategies tied to tooling systems
Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and engineering
Qualifications
A.S Engineering
2-5 years in tooling design or manufacturing engineering
Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.)
Experience in fabrication, welding, or assembly environments preferred
Knowledge of GD&T and design for manufacturability
Hands-on problem-solver in a production setting
