About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Tool Hookup Design Engineer to drive the design and integration of process tools within a semiconductor manufacturing facility.
This role sits at the center of Tool Vendors, Facilities Teams, Design Consultants, and Construction Teams, ensuring that all utility connections, routing strategies, specifications, and installation requirements are properly defined before construction begins.
You will own the development and review of Master Design Packages (MDP) and help ensure a smooth transition from design to execution.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage Master Design Packages (MDP) for tool installation and hookup.
Coordinate with OEM tool vendors to understand utility and installation requirements.
Define utility connection points (POCs) and routing strategies.
Review and coordinate P&IDs, layouts, utility routing, and design packages.
Work closely with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities, and Construction teams.
Lead design reviews and resolve design interface issues.
Manage external design consultants and engineering partners.
Support design change management and document control processes.
Review and release IFC (Issued for Construction) packages.
Provide technical support during construction and installation phases.
Ensure designs are safe, constructible, maintainable, and scalable for future expansion.

Key Requirements
5 –15+ years of experience in Semiconductor Fab, Cleanroom, or Advanced Manufacturing projects.
Strong experience in one or more of the following:
Tool Hookup Design
Tool Installation Design
Design Integration
Process Utility Design
Facilities Engineering
Hands-on experience with:
Master Design Packages (MDP)
Utility POC (Point of Connection) allocation
P&ID review and coordination
Process utilities and facility systems
Tool vendor coordination
Design package management
Ability to coordinate across Engineering, Facilities, Vendors, Consultants, and Construction teams.
Strong understanding of semiconductor tool utilities, routing, and facility integration.
