Job Title: Texturing Engineer
Location: Connelly Springs, NC (Aquafil O'Mara Inc.) Job Type: Full-time
About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Texturing Engineer to join our team at Aquafil O'Mara. This isn't just a "desk job"—you’ll be a key player on the production floor, bridging the gap between technical machine performance and our financial bottom line.
You’ll be responsible for optimizing our texturing processes, managing cost standards, and helping us think "outside the box" on how we can improve efficiency across our direct and indirect labor teams. If you’re a problem-solver who enjoys diving into the data to drive real-world production results, we want to talk to you.
What You’ll Do:
Process Optimization: Oversee and refine texturing operations to maximize throughput and minimize waste.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Work closely with Planning and Purchasing to track actual spending versus production forecasts.
Labor Efficiency: Analyze position responsibilities to help identify opportunities for role merging and headcount optimization.
Quality Control: Ensure that final production consistently meets our high-quality standards and cost targets.
Troubleshooting: Serve as the technical expert for machine startups and complex texturing issues.
What We’re Looking For:
Degree in Engineering (Textile, Mechanical, or Industrial preferred) or equivalent hands-on experience in synthetic fiber manufacturing.
Deep understanding of texturing processes .
Strong analytical skills—you should be comfortable looking at production data to identify discrepancies and trends.
A "continuous improvement" mindset; we are currently streamlining our operations and need someone who can adapt quickly.
Strong communication skills to work effectively with everyone from floor operators to executive leadership.
Why Aquafil O'Mara? You’ll be joining a team that values transparency, hard work, and innovation. We are currently making strategic moves to position ourselves for a strong 2026, and this role is central to that success.
