The Testing and Applications Engineer I is responsible for performing testing and analysis following product testing standards including report generation. Individuals in this role are learning lab capabilities and standards with regular guidance from Sr. Engineers and Management.

Perform benchmark evaluation of competitive or proposed new products as well as ongoing product improvements utilizing proposed processes or material changes.
Accurately record test results of numerical and observed data. Review data from technicians for accuracy and correctness with some assistance.
Write technical reports as directed to document engineering analysis and findings.
Adhere to ISO 17025 standard guidelines.
With guidance from Management and Sr. Test Engineers, prioritize work to align with the goals of the department and various project teams.
Participate in the development of new test fixtures, test methods, and continuous improvement projects as assigned with little supervision.
Participate in the design and coordinate manufacturing of simple test fixtures/setups including drawings and specifications with little supervision. Detect and report equipment concerns.
Manage basic projects with supervision from management or Sr. Test Engineers adhering to quality standards and timelines.
With guidance from Sr. Engineers and Management, assist in continuous improvement activities to achieve quality goals as assigned.
Maintain close contact with associated engineering groups and project teams.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree preferred with 0-5 years of relevant work experience. Must possess basic knowledge of PCB/PCBA and IPC 610, or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering fundamentals and principles. Must possess strong technical and analytical skills. Must possess planning and organizational skills. Demonstrated oral and written communication with ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), analysis, and design software. Ability to facilitate projects and solutions.
