Job Description/Typical Task Breakdown
The candidate will be a member of the team responsible for world-wide validation of metal face seals. As a Test & Validation Engineer in this team you will serve as an individual contributor on projects and assignments that support and enhance product performance, durability, reliability, quality, and serviceability.
Duties & Responsibilities
Operate and maintain multiple seal validation test benches
Author and update safe job & lock out tag out procedures for seal test equipment
Manage internal/external validation test requests and support quality/material/design improvement projects
Perform/Apply root cause analysis on field returns
Support NPI (New Product Introduction) and CPI (Current Product Improvement) projects
Collaborate with system engineering teams, internal and external, to identify/validate optimum sealing system solutions
Create and deliver technical reports
Research and develop new sealing technologies
Education & Experience
BS Mechanical Engineer, Aerospace, Agricultural; 2nd preferred metallurgical, advanced physics
Years of experience: 0 -2 years
Required Technical Skills
Proficiency in Creo or related CAD software
Desired Skills
Previous test/validation experience
Experience with data analysis software
Experience with instrumentation/controller software
Working experience with metallic and non-metallic materials or components
