About The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Contract Design Engineer to support the development of innovative medical devices from concept through to commercialisation. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will play a key role in product design, prototyping, testing, and technical documentation activities.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop medical device components and assemblies using CAD software.
Create engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Support prototype development and product testing activities.
Conduct design verification and validation activities.
Collaborate with quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and commercial teams.
Participate in design reviews and risk management processes.
Ensure compliance with applicable medical device standards and regulations.
Requirements
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Product Design, or a related discipline.
Previous experience developing medical devices or highly regulated products.
Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or Inventor.
Understanding of Design Controls and product development processes.
Experience working within ISO 13485 and MDR/FDA regulated environments preferred.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Experience
Class II or Class III medical devices.
Human factors engineering.
Rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing.
Verification and validation testing.
