Role Summary
The Lead – System / Vehicle HIL Validation is responsible for leading Electrical and Electronics (EE) System and Vehicle‑level validation using HIL systems, PWB and Test Vehicles. This role combines hands‑on validation, technical leadership and team coordination to ensure high‑quality deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Lead system‑level requirement analysis for vehicle functions, diagnostics, and network management.
Realize the activities for Design Validation, Process Validation and Type Approval respecting Efficiency, Quality and Timing by using the best practices of the Testing Profession
Own and review test case design, automation scripts, and traceability.
Plan and guide test execution on HIL systems, Vehicles and Plywood Bucks.
Ensure Test reports are reviewed and released
Analyze failures, drive root cause analysis, and ensure defect closure by working with Component/Design Release Engineers and Test Plan Manager
Define and improve test automation and regression strategies.
Act as the technical escalation point for complex validation issues.
Mentor and support junior engineers and new joiners.
Coordinate with system engineers, quality teams, and suppliers.
Participate in technical reviews and issue discussions.
Support project team in providing Validation status report to stakeholders.
Required Skills
Strong hands‑on experience with HIL systems (dSPACE / ETAS)
Good knowledge of CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, and UDS.
Experience with Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer).
Good system‑level understanding of Automotive /Passenger Car Electrical systems, Diagnostics, ECUs and Vehicle domains.
Test automation experience using AutomationDesk, Python,etc.,
Familiar with DOORS, SVN, RTC and defect life cycle.
Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and lead technical decisions.
Experience & Qualification
8- 10 years of experience in Automotive System / HIL Validation in OEM or Tier-1 or Engineering Service Org.
B.E. / B.Tech in Embedded Systems / Electronics /Electrical (or equivalent)
